Know Greater Love

Everyone has a story.

The words of I Corinthians 10:13 assure us that our human experiences are always shared by others, "no temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man." Someone has traveled this valley before you. Although it may seem that no one knows the pain that you are experiencing, you can be certain that if you continue to tell your story, you will find that one person that knows exactly how you feel.

At Harrah Church we believe in the power of story. For this reason, we have compiled the stories of our people into a three volume series of books called "Know Greater Love." The pages of each volume of "Know Greater Love" are filled with the stories of everyday people experiencing everyday problems. The beauty of these stories is not in the eloquence of the language or the fashion in which they are told. The beauty lies in the transmission of the story itself.

A vital part of development at Harrah Church is "telling your story." The work of God in our lives is most powerfully manifest when we share our experiences with others. Everyone in the Harrah Church faith community is encouraged to journey with those who have contributed to the first three volumes of "Know Greater Love." Copies of "Know Greater Love" can be purchased at the Solid Grounds coffee bar for $5. Stories can be submitted at any time in electronic form to knowgreaterlove@harrahchurch.com. In addition, assistance in story development is available by request.

We recently published Know Greater Love: Volume 4, which can be purchased at the Solid Grounds Cafe outside the Worship Center and is a free gift to guests of HarrahChurch.
